Chance meeting with a stranger

It was one warm summer evening en route to Mumbai.
Location: Starbucks at JFK airport.
State of mind: Enthused
Situation: A casual conversation with a "stranger".Lets just call him N1 for the time being:)
So, this N1 and me strike a well balanced conversation and find out that we both are on our way to the same destination, same flight and adjacent seats. First thing that came to my mind was that atleast this time, I will have some one to keep me good company all the way for a period of 28 hours. I am one person, who as much as she tries can NEVER sleep in long flights. As luck might have it, always had someone who fell asleep the moment he/she occupied the seat next to me. So after him and me started off with a good initial conversation, I was kinda releived that we might have a decent time on our way.
As expected we ended up being friends and we exchanged email addresses and phone numbers! OK, I must say that it was just a good friendship, with no romantic interests, :!!!!! if someone tries to read between lines:D
I returned back after a month and he got in touch with me 3 months later and we started conversing regularly on the phone and it was kinda cool.
So, today this "once upon a time stranger" is a friend of mine.Sometimes, I think it is so important to just return that smile, or a hand shake or just a glance. You never know, when you make a friendship, that you would probably cherish for a long long time!!!!
Later, 15 days back, I got introduced to another guy, who happens to share the same first name and last name as that of N1..............!!!!!!!!!! Let us call this guy as N2
I dismissed it off as quite an incidental event and did not delve deeper into the matter. However, just last night, I was in for a BIG surprise, when I learnt that N1 and N2 know each other since their Undergraduate years and belong to the same city, same college and same majors!!!!! and obviously, they are two different individuals..
I am of the firm beleif that occurance of certain events are a matter of chance and sometime inexplicable..
So, right now, I am kinda having a psychic feeling about the whole event.
I mean, how on earth can anyone explain an event such as that?? It has never happened with me before and totally out-of-the-blue
I have yet to figure out how I should connect these two events!! Maybe they are two seperate occurances?!?!

#Bhole,

Hehe:) I know! I just get excited for little things, in general:D

Coincidence would be too simple an explanation for such a kind of occurance. There exists something called as synchronicity..where apparently chance happenings that are not connected causally, appear juxtaposed in the space time continuum. This may take the form of an exteriorization of an internal state, or the kind of synchronicity that you experienced. Yes..yes it means something!

I am glad that I have a psychologist friend like you:)But, in my life, such events dont really go hand in hand! Its just a connection that my mind is trying to establish (and very well is a figment of its imagination)!

# Bhole,

Ya, wish it was a hindi movie!! Then on the way, we would have atleast sung songs or two:))
Ya, I am from Bombay.Every once in a while, I get these urges to rant about Bombay and I guess you guys will be at the listening end:))

Well....we so often dismiss things saying that they are just coincidences or just a figment of my imagination.....booo to scientificism!

Sometimes, its best not to be too hopeful about things:-)
Its always wonderful to be romantic, but scientificism helps you to make logical interpretations:)

#Bhole,

Then, only you and me will be having a dialogue:D
