Back home it feels good

Wow! am just back from a two day break to my cousin's place at Lincoln. Though, the place is just 40 miles from here, it still feels as if I am away for a long time! OK! the reason I was there was coz we had this "India Night" at their University. The past two days has just been consumed with endless discussions of the event, that I so do not feel like blogging about it:( Somehow, I missed Omaha. Duh! it was just for 2 days that I had been away:( Actually, after my India trip, this was the first time, in 5 months that I actually stayed away from Omaha. Incidentally, I never feel like coming back when I am in Mumbai but anywhere in US, Omaha is my home and I miss everything about this place. Ha! its the same place that I wish to get away from time-to-time. I had an awesome time with my cousin and his friends. Above all, I did not have to do cooking..Hahah..my brother cooks well and he hates someone else using his kitchen. Even if it is his sister. All I did was to relax, catch up on lots of movies and watch them practise. I have been sleep deprived. Coz all of us were pretty much in a party mood, lots of things to catch up on, so question of sleeping never arose. I missed my bed in Omaha. Talk about microwaves. Convenient yet irritating. Especially, when people make tea in it. Gosh!! I am a person, who cannot drink tea (usually) without ginger or elaichi and this guy makes this tea-bag tea in microwave. Ohhh..so not cool:( I missed my kitchen in Omaha. My cell phone was on roaming, so I could not use it over there. I could have used my brother's cell, but I don't like using someone else's cell phone. I was totally out of touch with my friends here. I missed my friends in Omaha. Above all, I did not have access to internet. It was nice to be "disconnected" for a while. Especially, when you think everything is available at the click-of-a-mouse. For a while, when you start using google more than you use your telephone directory. When you think, you are almost addicted to the net and you start missing your laptop. And, when you come back, you realize you have a Journal club on wednesday and you still need to choose a paper to present! Well, the fun period is over. Well, not really, coz I have good food for lunch today. My friend's have been kind to provide me with Pulav, Chhole and Kheer..Yeayyyyyy!!! Its all good for as long as you are having fun, its the mess that you got to take care of later, that you need to think of.
