My ever evolving life

Now this is what I call "Life"

Never constant...

Ever changing.

You wake up and you are not the same person.

You walk through life's troubles with a strong head on your shoulders, making decisions and well, you respect yourself even more.

Not choosing to do something is also a decision, isnt it??

Imagine, you look at yourself in the mirror and see a face that reflects of how good you feel about things that were pulling you down and how you were able to weather those difficulties.

Exactly, the same day, your boss comes to you and praises you for something that you thought was a worthless result.

It turns out that the data is a publishable one!!!

Like they say, nothing beats the pleasure derived out of a good day at work. Those who have something to do, are the luckiest people in world.

Here, I am working away to glory now..
That's why my blog is titled "Musings of Life", an autobiography and the conversations that I have with myself!
  • Not about the people, but what I derived from them.
  • Not about mistakes, but what I learned from them.
  • Not about situations, but what I felt in those situations.
  • Not about self-praise, but about how small things add beauty to my life.
  • Not about comments from bloggers, but about connections.
  • Not about strangers and unknown people, but about "friends" whom I might meet someday"
  • A life, marked with experiences.

Tracy Chapaman says it all through these lines,

Anyplace is better

Starting from zero got nothing to lose

Maybe we'll make something

But me myself I got nothing to prove

[I dont know if what I have written here, makes sense, but its supposed to be an autobiography]

Blogger Nandya said ... (12:26 PM) :

but why do u say GOD forgot to introduce you...if you believe in him then this is his way of introducing them....and what is it abt real and illusionary life...i mean isnt this real....whats ur definition of real then...are we all u think figments of ur imagination...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:29 PM) :

ROS..that was very touching..

You are so right...life is ever-changing. Everything is in motion. The plates are always shifting. We just don't realize it always.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:31 PM) :

I loved the part about 'connections' too :-)

Blogger Rays Of Sun said ... (12:48 PM) :

Thanu!

Thanks, gurl:)

#Nandu,

the veil of secrecy is paramount to feeling secure

Exactly:)

And yes, buddy..I am not hallucinating, to consider you guys as illuisonary beings..Wrong wordings,maybe..

I just wonder, if we would have met somewhere else and not on blogspace, would we still have connected with each other??

Its a small network that we have in here. We analyze things in our way and things that matter to us without accusing one single person.

On a lighter note,

If it were a real world, Sayesha would be ROS's roommate, Jeenu would be ROS's lab mate, Vik would be someone who cracked jokes, Nandu would be someone who would make food for us, Thanu and Vi would give us sound advice when needed and Bhole would be someone to whom you would rush to when you want to fight coz he would never quarrel.

#hershey,
I like it tooo..Heard it from Sayesha once:)

Excellent post....makes me melancholic actually....and reminds me of the experiences that I have faced and weathered in time. I have lost myself on several occassions and have had to work hard to find me. What you wrote ROS reminds me of my fav verse in a Ulysses...you already know this one...
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;

It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,

And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Sorry for the extra long comment

#Freako!

With every person, like some one said, we lose a part of us, but also gain a part, also we collect pieces of us. There is no point in losing yourself. Coz its YOU and none is worth losing your individuality for. The web has lots of spaces, BTW...Make full use of it.

#Viks!

No, the second time:D
Thanks, BTW..

#Prady,
Thanks dear! BTW, how are ya?

>>I just wonder, if we would have met somewhere else and not on blogspace, would we still have connected with each other??

Something to think about. Hmm.
I think, here on blogspace, we have an easier connection through our thoughts and ideas. It's pure. It's focussed (if you know what I mean) and "not mixed" with other distractions like behavior and moods and appearance, or type of situation etc. etc. We don't truly have to deal with all that here. It's just pure ideas.

In the real world, we might have connected, sure, but maybe on other grounds. We might have just gotten along without knowing why. Or we might have jumped to a conclusion that "She/He seems very different. I don't believe we have much in common". And we might have just overlooked each other or not given each other "a chance". We would not have been able to even imagine or measure the depth of each others' thoughts in real life. But it surely could have happened.

But there's something about the written word...that is just so pure and deep. It is hard to explain.

:-)) I don't know if I made much sense even to myself :-)

Blogger Parth Anand said ... (5:18 PM) :

//I think, you will be my eating buddy..

heheh...issi bahane i get to share the hersheys and the toblerone choclates that you receive...

Coming to your post...
//It turns out that the data is a publishable one!!!

Congratulations on that....ab to paper mein aapka naam chapega...lol..let us know which journal ;)

//A life, marked with experiences

Truly agree with each of those bullets...by blogging you are sharing your experiences, your joys and sorrows and connecting with so many different people and then you are learning from yours as well as their experience

Blogger Rays Of Sun said ... (5:50 PM) :

Oh Hershey!!

Atleast it made whol lot of sense to me.

I exactly know what you are talking about. But, dont you think"people get close only through ideas"?? If there is no exchange, then its a stagnated life. There's so much to learn from each person.
I have been in a situation (few mths back) wherein all depends on how you feel at that one instant. You clicked with somneone so well merely through exchange of ideas but in reality and in person it did not.

So, in that case, what is the probablity that it would have clicked if given a second chance?

I think usually in person people are much more prejudiced than we think or anticipate.

Ironically, I just commented on Pradyot's recent blog which was exactly on these lines.

Liked what you said, girl!

#Prady!

Good luck with that:)

#Parthy,
Naah!! I dont share my chocolates..I can eat one Toblerone in one go:)

Considering my procrastinating nature, it would be almost healf a year:))))

Considering this is a public forum, how much of ones experiences should one share, thats the question!

For me, its about learning more about myself and I do not base my opinions about anyone here nor have I ever intended to criticize anyone over here..

Blogger Sayesha said ... (6:47 PM) :

Oh man! That's one beautiful post! Not about commentators, but about connections! Love that bit! :)

Blogger Rays Of Sun said ... (7:32 PM) :

#Parth!

I know..connections..big word isnt it??

Blogger Bhole said ... (7:37 PM) :

Good One....looks like your advisor finally realized....good for you.

Liked the part about connections.

LOL @ fight with me....theek hai next time we talk we shall ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 PM) :

Yeah, you are right ROS...people are perhaps more prejudiced(picky?) in real life. There's "other" factors at play then, or could be brought into play that affect the way we "feel" or "think" about each other. A real life meeting still cannot be beat though. But this written exchange has its own plain and stark truth.

Blogger Parth Anand said ... (10:00 PM) :

Nice post...as usual.
The beauty of life lies in its continuity.
the most predictable thing abt it is its unpredictability.
and without it, it wd have no meaning.

publish ur biography, it'll be a bestseller
